The productions will open at The Michael Weller Theatre (311 W. 43rd Street- 6th floor) on November 8, 2007 and run through November 18, 2007.

War Uncensored

After traveling to almost 40 countries around the world, including to Iraq and Afghanistan and through all 50 U.S. states, bestselling military author Andrew Carroll has collected more than 80,000 never-before-seen letters from every conflict in American history. The most candid, unusual, and riveting of these letters have been woven together into one powerful performance: War Uncensored. The play, based on Mr Carroll's best-sellers War Letters, Behind The Lines and Letters of a Nation, takes a forthright look at the thoughts and emotions of troops risking their lives in the line of fire, as well as of their loved ones on the home front who can do nothing but wait. War Uncensored represents the real-life voices of the only true authorities on warfare and its consequences- the heroic individuals who have experienced it firsthand.

Andrew Carroll is the editor of several New York Times bestselling books that have inspired the critically-acclaimed PBS documentary of the same name. Andrew is also the founder of The Legacy Project, a national, all-volunteer initiative that encourages veterans, active-duty troops, and their families to seek out and preserve their wartime correspondence. Since 1998, Americans have shared with Andrew an estimated 80,000 never-before-seen letters from every military conflict in U.S. history, including e-mails from Iraq and Afghanistan. Andrew traveled to more than 30 countries and 50 cities, including Baghdad and Kabul, to find the letters featured in Behind the Lines. Readings and plays based on Andrew's books have been staged throughout the country, but War Uncensored represents the first time an adaptation of his books has been performed in New York.

War Uncensored stars Marinda Thea Anderson*, Joseph Ditmyer*, Mark Emerson*, Megan Hart and Derrence Washington [* member of Actors Equity Association]

The Dershowitz Protocol

Within the next five hours, a nuclear device is about to be detonated somewhere in the USA and there is only one young man who might have information to help the government discover where. A hypothetical exposition based on the beliefs of America's leading civil rights activist, Alan Dershowitz, The Dershowitz Protocol explores the suspension of due process under ticking bomb circumstances and the enactment of a protocol legalizing "humane torture" in hopes of regaining the global dignity through our fight against terrorism.

Robert Fothergill, is the author of several plays include Detaining Mr. Trotsky (Canadian Stage Company, 1987, Chalmers Award and Dora nominations), Public Lies (Tarragon Theatre, 1993, Chalmers and Dora nominations), The Dershowitz Protocol (Toronto Summerworks Festival, 2003, remounted at Cabaret Downstairs Theatre, Rochester, NY, summer 2006), and Borderline (Summerworks 2004 and CBC-Radio 2005). These four plays are published as Public Lies and Other Plays by Playwrights Canada Press, 2007. A new play, Disciples, premiered in the 2007 Summerworks festival.

The Dershowitz Protocol stars Kate Geller (Jane Cosentino), Ken Maharaj* (Iqbal Aziz), Jason Tomarken* (Jack McCall), and Kevin Michael Gaudin (Randall Watkin) [* member of Actors Equity Association]
