What Does Your Donation Go Toward!?
First off, 10% of all donations go directly towards a charity which will be announced very soon. Each season, we will select a charity that is most closely tied to the theme of the main show of that year. In one way or another, this year's charity will be that which actively is involved with the support of our military personnel and with champion as a voice for their equal rights when they have no voice themselves. The other 90% will go towards costs for the production. For example: A larger donation ($100+ dollars) will go directly towards the rental cost for the theater and rehearsal space. Total cost including insurance is $6000.00 Donations between $50 - $99 will directly benefit costs relating directly to the production value. For example, the total cost for sets, props and costumes is $1200.00. Your donation will make that happen. Last season, we ran a successful "20 From 300" campaign, where, in true grassroots fashion, we succeeded in raising $20.00 from 300 people. This year, we are increasing the stakes…"25 from 500". In thiese times, $25.00 is not a significant amount of money. From a mass of people, though, think what it can do...Nearly $500.00 for charity. What Does Your Money Create!? To present theater and art in a way that has made us unique, we have assembled the finest actors, directors, writers and designers in New York City. And though these powerful artists donate their time, everything else we need to put up a show and a season is more difficult to get donated. That is where we need your help...and where you become part of the production. Rehearsal Space, Performance Space, Insurance, Sets, Publicity... When you make a tax-deductible donation, your money will be going directly into the productions this November. Feel free to donate as little or as much as you like, though suggesting a minimum donation of $20.00. For this season, our budget and fundraising goal is $12,000. That means if 600 people donate a measly $20.00 to I Got Da Beat Productions, not only is that a lot of help come tax time, but we will have the funding to put on exactly the type of show you expect from us.
